How Often Does a Panasonic Aircond Need Servicing?

Signs Your Unit Needs Attention
- A sour or musty smell on start-up — almost always mould on the coil
- Water dripping from the indoor unit — a blocked drain line
- The room cools slower than it did six months ago — restricted airflow or low gas
- A new noise — fan bearings, or something loose in the blower
- The bill has risen with no change in usage — the unit is working harder for the same result
A Gas Top-Up Is Not Routine Maintenance
This is a common misconception. An air conditioner is a sealed system — the refrigerant does not get used up. If your unit needs a gas top-up, there is a leak.
An honest technician will find the leak before recharging. Repeatedly topping up without repairing the leak wastes your money and vents refrigerant into the atmosphere.
